explore national landmarks
USA Regions Come to Life in Ms. Traynoff’s class
As a new wave of third-grade students in Renton, WA join Mrs. Traynoff’s class, they took on a challenge to explore regions of the United States through design, creativity, and storytelling.
As part of their annual social studies unit, students selected a landmark from a specific region and brought it to life using 3DuxDesign materials. From early sketches to full-color builds, each project reflects both academic understanding and student voice.

🏜️ Recycled Roadrunner – Southwest Region (Texas)
Inspired by the landscapes and wildlife of the Southwest, this student-designed Roadrunner captures both creativity and regional identity. Built using recycled materials and the first generation of 3Dux connectors (yes the 3D printed ones from 2018 are still going strong), the project evolved from an early prototype into a vibrant, detailed final model
🏛️ The White House – Northeast Region (Washington, D.C.)
A thoughtful and detailed re-creation of one of the nation’s most recognizable landmarks, this build highlights precision, structure, and attention to detail while connecting students to U.S. history and government.

💬 From the Classroom
"My class can’t stop raving about how fun the 3Dux … projects were. These builds are part of my USA Regions and Landmarks unit, and students truly brought their ideas to life in full color.
After years of classroom use, the materials continue to hold up incredibly well. The durability and flexibility make it easy for students to build, revise, and improve their designs throughout the project."
