Everything You Need for Successful Implementation

Whether you’re teaching a single class, leading a makerspace, running a year-long program, or supporting homeschool or afterschool learners, 3DuxDesign provides flexible resources for your setting. Our guidance and professional learning help educators feel prepared, supported and confident from day one. From quick 30-minute design challenges to multi-week curriculum, every project includes classroom-ready materials designed to save preparation time while supporting meaningful, hands-on learning.

Our lessons combine a low barrier to entry with a low-floor, high-ceiling design, making implementation simple for educators while supporting every learner with multiple entry points and opportunities to extend, iterate, and create. Sample Lesson Plan Walkthrough: The Tiny House

In this lesson, students become young architects as they design, build, and refine tiny house models inspired by stories such as If I Built a House and Iggy Peck, Architect. Through reading, discussion, and hands-on construction, they connect story themes to real-world design while exploring architecture, geometry, measurement, and the engineering design process. Working in teams, students create purposeful, freestanding structures that blend imagination, problem-solving, and creativity.

Grades: K - 5

Duration: 3 - 5 Class periods (45 mins per class)

Subjects: Math, literacy, engineering, sustainability (with optional extensions)
