Lisa Casella is a highly effective educator and is going into her eighth year of teaching. She has been working with children for over twenty years total and has experience working with infants through 5th graders. She has been nominated several times for her town's Golden Apple Teacher award by her students and wishes to one day receive this very special award. She has primarily taught Kindergarten, Second Grade, and Fifth Grade. Currently, she is a Fifth grade English Language Arts and Social Studies teacher. Beyond teaching in the classroom, Lisa is also a professional photographer and runs the photography club at her school. Lisa wrote a wonderful blog post for the 3DuxDesign Community, Photography Tipsis where she offers students guidance on how to take great project photos using simple methods and materials easily accessible to children globally.
Lisa has experience with individual and group portraiture, infant and baby portraits, weddings, modeling photography, and ad photography. Lisa's photography awarded her a scholarship while she was in high school and later she was published in the Sony World Photography Organisation's 2011 Book as a commended photographer. Her photography was also published in many newspapers for her work with musicians including Jessica Cohen, By His Stripes, and Deven Starr. She has had her photography printed in ads for Creative World School as well. Lisa's passion for photography began at a very young age which is why she loves teaching young minds how to capture beautiful images.
In her spare time, Lisa is a Teacher-Author and owns her own shop throughTeachers Pay Teachers. Lisa's store is called Mrs. Casella's Classroom and she creates teacher resources for K-5th grade. She also has several photography club resources that allow teachers to begin their own photography club anywhere across the globe!
